If consumers have any concerns regarding shell eggs involved in the egg recall, NMDA recommends they go to the FDA website
for a complete list of the brand names which the eggs are sold under and directions on how to check for contaminated eggs.

The FDA recommends that consumers who believe they may have purchased these shelled eggs should not eat them,

National Pecan Day

 

Did you know….

 New Mexico has the largest concentration of pecan orchards in the world, representing 36,000 acres of pecan producing trees.
A handful of pecans has about the same amount of fiber as an apple and is rich in antioxidants.
New Mexico is ranked second in production of pecans in the United States.

April is National Pecan Month and that is why New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA) invited the local media to tour Stahmann Farms in La Mesa, New Mexico.
“We wanted to get the word out about a little nut with a BIG impact on our community and state,” said Noreen Jaramillo, NMDA public information officer.
