How to register a pesticide in New Mexico

Any pesticide sold or used in New Mexico must be registered with NMDA. Products which may be exempt from federal registration, like 25B products, must still be registered in the state. Manufacturers/registrants must apply for registration before the product is distributed in New Mexico.

On the registration form list the classification, product name and EPA registration number for each pesticide or device to be registered. More than one product may be listed on this form. Additional pesticides or devices may be listed on separate sheets of paper. (Computer print-outs are acceptable as long as the format is the same.)

REGISTRATION FEES

The NM Pesticide Control Act sets the registration fee for each pesticide or device at $75.00 annually. Make checks payable to New Mexico Department of Agriculture.
