Galisteo Basin Information

Governor Richardson's Executive Order 2008-004, provides that state agencies with relevant knowledge and expertise related to the possibility of drilling in the Galisteo Basin or anywhere in Santa Fe County, work collaboratively to address public concerns and identify existing laws and regulations affecting this issue.

The basin is defined by the boundary of 10-digit hydrologic units 1302020103(Headwaters Galisteo Creek) and 1302020104(Outlet Galisteo Creek).
