Phytosanitary Certification
Certification is required for many plants and plant products being shipped to other states or countries. To determine if your shipment requires certification, contact the agriculture department or plant protection organization of the state or country into which you plan to ship. Approximately 645 Federal Phytosanitary certificates, 923 State Phytosanitary certificates, and 193 Certificates of Origin were issued by the Bureau of Entomology in 2006.
Fees
Federal Phytosanitary Certificates, $30.00;
State Phytosanitary Certificates, $5.00;
Certificates of Origin, $5.00.
Additional fees for inspections, when required, are based on mileage and time spent completing the inspection.
